The oldest art museum on the West Coast, the Crocker Art Museum offers an amazing collection of American, California, European and Asian art. Housed in a magnificent building of Victorian Italianate architecture, the museum offers an ever-changing landscape of exhibits and programs to enhance its artworks from around the world. The Crocker Art Museum displays one of the most comprehensive collections of Californian art, from the Gold Rush to the present, and a magnificent gallery of European art of the 19th century.

A cool dining experience, the Crocker Café by Supper Club offers a chic, contemporary ambiance with a window facing the museum’s elegant architecture and art. Located in the beautiful setting of Friedman Court, off the first floor, Crocker Cafe by Supper Club serves delicious cuisine, made fresh with locally grown ingredients. Enjoy gourmet entrees, salads, home-made soups, desserts, and meals to go.

Art Mix / Crocker Con

This ultra-festive event held on Thursdays is a mix of art and comic-con, featuring comic book artists, painters and illustrators, pop-up comic shops, and fun cover bands. See costumed superheroes parading around as you enjoy iconic superhero theme songs and drink specials – under $5 all night. Cosplayers get in free!

    The Crocker boasts one of the finest collections of early and contemporary California art in the world, including painting, sculpture, and craft media, and an impressive collection of European paintings. The Museum represents a spectrum of world cultures, including Asian, African and Oceanic art, as well as beautiful ceramics from China, Japan and Korea. The museum’s famed American art collection includes impressionist and modernist works like Georgia O’Keeffe’s It Was a Man and a Pot (1942).
